- Learning to become a member of a group and how to be a “good friend” through sharing and taking turns.
- Learning independence by following school rules and the ability to verbally express feelings.
- Learning about families, people’s differences, traditions, customs, and celebrations.
- Exposure to art supplies and manipulative tools.
- Exposure to tactile (touch) materials and blocks.
- Climbing, jumping, running, and balancing (large muscles)
- Manipulating and sorting materials by size, color, shape, and weight of objects.
- Learning how to count and number recognition.
- Learning simple patterns, sequences, matching, and opposites.
- Learning about books, words, meanings, and objects by reading stories.
- Learning how to write and letter recogniton.
- Learning to share ideas through circle, drama, storytelling, and puppet theatre.
